The Institute for Telecommunications Research
The Institute for Telecommunications Research (ITR) is an internationally recognised research organisation, specialising in research and technology development for wireless communications, including both fixed and mobile, satellite and terrestrial based applications. ITR conducts its research in three main areas: satellite communications, high speed data communications and flexible networks.
We have a portfolio of interacting research and development strengths that have clear alignment with our mission to provide:
- world class research outcomes in wireless telecommunications theory and applications
- opportunities for industry partnerships and applied research of direct commercial relevance
ITR also hosts the Australian Research Council Communications Research Network (ACoRN)
